Assessments to Meet Your Needs

GB Psychology works with multi-disciplinary partners to offer specialist autism assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, using gold-standard diagnostic tools including the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised). Our assessments follow a thorough, evidence-based process to ensure accurate, sensitive, and person-centred evaluations which will include collecting a developmental history, a direct observational assessment, collation of additional information and a thorough consideration of differential/co-occurring diagnoses. Whether you're seeking a diagnosis for access to support or greater understanding, we offer clear, compassionate guidance every step of the way, tailored to individual needs and circumstances.

ADOS-2

We use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2) as a key part of our comprehensive autism assessments. The ADOS-2 is a structured, play and conversation-based assessment that allows our clinicians to observe social communication, interaction and behaviours relevant to autism. Tailored to the individual's age and language level, it provides valuable, standardised insights that support meaningful diagnostic conclusions in both children and adults.

ADI-R

As part of the autism assessment process, we also conduct the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R) with a parent or caregiver. This in-depth, structured interview explores the individual’s developmental history and current behaviour. The ADI-R is particularly valuable in capturing early signs of autism and understanding lifelong patterns, making it an essential tool for building a full, evidence-based diagnostic picture in collaboration with other assessment components.
